Different Facets of impact on Jobs and Economy by Pandemic

The impact of pandemic across the globe and spectrum of life will take few years to explore and analyze. Few define it, as a recession 2.0 and few relate it with the century old plague, but it has more dimensions to it and still all are stumped and try to analyze the way we know. It requires different scales/tapes which were not even thought before and will take years to come to make. First and foremost it has slowed the wheel of economy with a big thrust. The power and scale of this pause was never seen or expected. It just not lead to the loss of jobs, but also impacted the sole income of families with no other options to survive due to strictness of lockdown. Also, most of the migrant families which run on day to day income and without any options to reach their villages/towns were left on mercy of neighbors/government which was next to impossible due to lack of infrastructure and high corruptions. The need of social security was felt at its extreme as it could have provided tr

EMPOWERING FARMERS: A STEP TOWARDS PROSPEROUS INDIA

India is a predominantly agriculture backed country where more than 50% of people come from agricultural occupation. After independence, many agricultural reforms such as the abolition of the Zamindari Act, Agriculture Insuranceschemes , and Agriculture farm produce market rationalizations have reduced the burden on farmers. Green revolution and fertilizer subsidy are some of the remarkable achievements of all time governance. But at the same time, an increase in farmer's suicide, massive debt on farmers due to the loss of crop as a reason for climate fury has raised financial crunch. This raises a question on agricultural governance. No doubt, the government has taken many farm reforms, but an increase in cases of suicide by farmers raises the question of sustainable policies relating to agriculture. The government initiative to double the income of farmers is a welcome step, but what about the issue of farmers' suicide, agricultural debt, and exploitation of farmers by th

Things we can change in Indian Education System

“Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Lives Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid” – Sir Einstein   Quit Focusing On Marks  Not all things are about numbers. Instead of focusing on what scores the learner is scoring the emphasis should be on how much the learner has understood the topics taught and how he/she would practically implement the same.    Course readings And Nothing Else?  Apart from just pressuring the learner to go through the stipulated contents of the curriculum, efforts should also be made by the educators to add an extra mile by delivering the content in different ways like case based studies, presentations, role plays mock interviews etc will all this enhance the learner’s imagination and practical skills.   Educators  A n educator plays a very significant role in the learner’s life. Educators are often said to be ‘second moms’ as they shape lives and ethics.    Sex Education  One of the most concerning issue, wh

OFFSHORE WIND POWER GENERATION: NEW INDIA

Image
In order to achieve the increasing demand of Power in our nation the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) have tested India’s first LIDAR based wind power test of the Gulf of Khambhat in Gujrat. The Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) machine had been placed 23 Km from the coast of Gujrat for a period of one Year .Earlier as per the R & D ,south   and west tip of the country has been having maximum  potential of wind which  could be easily collected to run Power Plant and the various turbines. Ministry of Renewable Energy and NIWE in collaborated with these places to search wind in India and they jointly launched the   LiDAR based technology to examine the condition of wind in these offshores of Gujrat to see the potential of such wind.According to the sources received from the institute of wind energy the major sign  of   wind was  passing from   south of south west India with wind speed at the rate   of 30% and the secondary prevalent wind direction in Northern India.  The

CAN ON LINE LEARNING REPLACE THE CLASSROOM TEACHING

How 5G will pay for itself

Fifth generation (5G) is latest global wireless standards engineered to connect virtually everything and everyone together including objects, devices and machines. The motivation behind 5G evolution was to provide better mobile experience to the users along new and enhance services. 5G bring more efficient deployment scenario and spectrum use, comprising sub 1 GHz band, mid 2-7 GHz band, and high millimetre wave bands(60 GHz, 39 GHz, and 29 GHz). Even in some application, proposed designs for higher frequencies beyond 100 GHz.   It means 5G wireless standards is designed to achieve high multi-gigabit data speeds, with more reliability, ultra-low(UL) latency, increased availability, massive network capacity, and a unleaded  broken user experience to the added users.Expansion of 5G networks provides larger technology reach to supports new service areas such as mission-critical communications; improve mobile broadband speeds and the massive IoT devices, which will benefit manufacturi

An introduction to Genetic Algorithms

In computing, the genetic algorithm (GA) is understood as a really useful optimization technique. It is associated to the bigger category of evolutionary algorithms, which produces solutions to optimization problems using techniques inspired by natural evolution, like inheritance, mutation, selection, and crossover. Genetic Algorithms, originally developed by John Holland (1975) as a simple model of genetic evolution, have swiftly evolved to be used in lots of different areas, including some economic models as well. Up to now, there have been quite a number of publications in this area . In the majority of the papers GA are applied to well known standard economic models, such as cobweb-type models, the prisoner's dilemma, or industrial organization problems. One reason for GA being an attractive tool for economic research has to do with the assumption of a normative behavioural foundation of individual action. In economics this is a very common assumption, and it makes models a

Copyright Protection in Entertainment Industry

Copyright can be understood as a form of intellectual property right which aims at protecting certain forms of creative works. These forms of creativity may vary such as literary works, dramatic works, cinematographic works, music etc. Since copyright has a vast application on protection of tangible or intangible forms of creative works, this paper focuses on how cinematographic works are protected under the copyright regime and how the Indian judiciary provides remedies to the aggrieved creator. But we are not concerned with what happens when there is actual infringement of the copyright but what interim reliefs the court provides to the Producers of the movies. (which are the creator in the case of Cinematographic works.) i.e. injunctions to prevent anticipated monetary loss which might happen if there is an infringement. For this we need an understanding of what qualifications a movie must possess in order to come under the ambit of copyright protection as a cinematographic w
