How 5G will pay for itself

Fifth generation (5G) is latest global wireless standards engineered to connect virtually everything and everyone together including objects, devices and machines. The motivation behind 5G evolution was to provide better mobile experience to the users along new and enhance services. 5G bring more efficient deployment scenario and spectrum use, comprising sub 1 GHz band, mid 2-7 GHz band, and high millimetre wave bands(60 GHz, 39 GHz, and 29 GHz). Even in some application, proposed designs for higher frequencies beyond 100 GHz.

It means 5G wireless standards is designed to achieve high multi-gigabit data speeds, with more reliability, ultra-low(UL) latency, increased availability, massive network capacity, and a unleaded broken user experience to the added users.Expansion of 5G networks provides larger technology reach to supports new service areas such as mission-critical communications; improve mobile broadband speeds and the massive IoT devices, which will benefit manufacturing to healthcare.

5G new radio (NR) services using Non standalone network is already live and preparation to move standalone architecture is in full swing to deliver full benefit of 5G services. There are a billion subscribers in 2024, and 5G technology could be accountable for generation of 22.3 million jobs worldwide and the $13.2 trillion contribution in global economic by the end of 2035.Currently, South Korea, USA and China are leading the world for the deployment of 5G technology.Worldwide, more than 40 telecom operators have already launched 5G.Due to current scenario, 5G services were expected to launch in India only from 2022. If it is further delayed due to the regulatory or COVID-19, than India stands the risk of missing out first flush of the 5G powered innovations.
