MIND-MAPPING: A POWERFUL TOOL TO NOTE-MAKING -           Dr. Bhavna Joshi, Assistant Professor, B.Ed.   A diagram of mind map is used to represent the content or data in the form of ideas and words that are linked and arranged radically around a central idea. It is used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and used as an aid in studying, organizing, problem solving and decision making.   Mind Maps were popularized by author Tony Buzan. He  is known for his contributions to understanding of “how the brain functions”. He found that the left side, known as the home of rational and linear thinking, of language and numbers. The right side being the holistic, associative, artistic thinking—of pictures and music and colour. By combining elements of each side of the brain, Buzan said, mind maps would optimize the brain’s ability to create, to learn, to remember.   Mind Mapping is an extremely effective method of visual presentation of taking notes. They help us t
