Food and Youth

Our food makes us what we are, how we think and how we conduct ourselves amongst others. Every food habit is influenced by a set of factors prevailing in the environment of an individual. In the initial years of life, we take these basic habits from our family especially parents, out of which mothers play the most pivotal role. Later on, our own observation and personal encounters with food and influences of our social circle decide upon our food habits. There has been a sea difference between the food habits of our ancestors and today’s generation. This difference has emerged as a result of vast availability of a variety of food items which are easily available all across. The youth of today gets easily lured away by something called ‘Fast Food’ which is fast in all aspects. It is easily available, handy to eat and satisfies hunger in a short period of time.
