Labour is defined as an act performed by an individual for wage and is directly engaged in the production of surplus value of country. Labour law is also known as employment law that is the body of laws, administrative rulings, and precedents which addresses the legal rights of as well as restrictions on, working people and their organizations. As such, it intervenes in many aspects of the relationship between trade unions, employers and employees. In other words, Labour law explains the rights and duties of workers, union members and employers in the workplace of any factory or organisation.
