E-Choupal System: An Initiative by ITC
E-Choupal is a modern method to associate with farmers using E-facility intended to analyse the difficulties encountered by them and to increase the production using innovative practices . Focused at establishing direct interaction with farmers in rural areas. Intended to meet the unique characteristics of Indian agriculture, taking into account insufficient substructure and by involvement of different stakeholders. Principles of E-Choupal : In order to make e-Choupal functional and spread awareness among the farmers, there are certain steps as designed by ITC to make sustainable model. It is efficient supply chain management technique that aims to provide value to various stakeholders. E-choupal System provides various benefits such as: 1)Itupturns potential of the Indian farmer trapped in a vicious circle which includes lack of manpower, poor investment , Low productivity, lack of good market orientation . 2)Expand the competitive position in agriculture of India
