FASTAG :Electronic Toll Collection
We all are aware with the announcement that FASTag is now mandatory on all national highways from 15th December 2019 and non compliance of same will be charged double. This FASTag will save our time which we normally waste in long queues for payments in toll plazas especially during festive seasons. FASTag is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based technology installed with all the toll plazas managed by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for making toll fee/ charges directly from the e-wallets or linked bank accounts of car owner. Any car owner can take this RFID based FASTag card from Toll plaza, some banks like ICICI, AXIS, HDFC etc or from Paytm by giving them some documents like Registration certificate of car, Aadhar Card and photo of car owner. They will provide one RFID based card which will be pasted on windscreen of car and enables you to pay the toll charges directly and no need to wait.
