Conferring to the authorised vocabulary , the term for self – security is “the practice of equitable strength to defend oneself or members of the family from physical injury from the attack of an antagonist, if the protector has purpose to believe he/she/they is/are in threat”. Memory – Nature’s Gift to mankind

Humans are blessed with the capacity to retain the learnt material and experiences for a long period of time and then reproduce it through recognition and recall when required, this capacity is termed as memory. Memory varies from short term memory which is mostly used in daily life, where the content is immediately recalled after the experience and soon forgotten. Long term memory refers to the memory as a store house where information is stored permanently. If short term memory is used regularly it gets converted to long term memory. Students are immensely benefited by this type of memory. Part, whole and rote memory - as the name suggests the content is remembered in parts whereas whole memory is photographic memory where nothing is forgotten. Today, when I think about water, it reminds me the poem, “The Rime of Ancient Mariner” which I read in my school days written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge in 1797-98.   In the poem a ship passed the line was driven by storms to the country towards South Pole and then drove to Great Pacific Ocean where the passenger didn’t have any drop of water to drink.   The poet explained the situation with the help of following lines:   Water, water everywhere, And all the boards did shrink, Water, water everywhere, Nor any drop to drink. Logical Positivism and Education

Logical Positivism is logical knowledge which is based on direct experience. It is also known as scientific empiricism. Bertrand Russell, Hume, C. W. Morris, Carnap, Whitehead , Wittgenstein were the prominent scientist / philosophers who propagated this philosophy. Main thought of the Philosophy Carnep is of the view that philosophical thoughts should be analysed logically by using scientific methods. Wittgenstein gave the idea that world is an essence of fact not an essence of any object.
