  Programmed Instruction works on the principle of reinforcement and self- learning - based on the theory of trial & error and Operand Conditioning. In this technique of learning, the learner progresses at his own pace. As the Learner progresses his skills get refined to the desired level of learning. Research shows that learning is effective and better when the student is actively involved, motivated to learn, content is presented in small units which are psychologically arranged – from easy to difficult concepts.
