SCRAPPING OF ARTICLE 370 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA- ITS PROS AND CONS

On 5 th August 2019, a historical step was initiate by Honorable Union Home Minister of India Mr. Amit Shah that scrapped Article370 of the Indian Constitution which gives special status to the State of J&K. It was the most awaited stride, as due to this special Status the Central government was allowed to interfere in the internal as well as external affairs of the state of J& K. After the removal of the Special Status now the State of J&K will be marked as Union Territory and Ladakh as second Union Territory (after the bill to be approved in both Houses - Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha).
