DIGITAL INDIA: Power to Empower

 Digital India is a programme to prepare India for a empower and knowledge future. Hon’ble prime minister of India Shri Narender Modi has emphasis on National e-governance plan and gave his approval for Digital India campaign. A scheme to transform India into digital empowered society and knowledgeable economy. Digital India is an ambition of government of India which projected 1,13,000 crore rupees. This will be for transformation of good governance to citizens by co-ordinated engagement with both central government and state government. The drive of Digital India is to transform the country into digitally empower society and knowledgeable economy. It would ensure that government services are available to people of country. This programme’s is to benefit all states and union territories.

The Digital India project is launched by Shri Narender Modi hon’ble Prime Minister of India. It was launched on 1st July 2015. Its motive is to transform India for better development and growth of country and people of country. Its goal is to give India Digital expansion for good governance and more jobs opportunities. It also helps to connect people to government services provided by government for people. The Prime Minister did his best effort towards digitalization in India for better future. It improved online infrastructure. It increases the internet connectivity and making the country digitally empower. This campaign motive is to connect rural areas with highspeed internet network. It also consists core components which is: 

• The development of stable and secure digital infrastructure, 

• Delivering government services digitally, 

• Universal digital literacy. 

It is also beneficiary for other schemes of Government of India such as Make in India, BharatNet, Startup India and Standup India, Bharatmala. Some Benefits of Digital India Campaign are it will help in decreasing documentation and reducing paper work, Digital India mission us away for cashless transaction, it can help small businesses, people can use online tools to expand their business, it can play an important role in GDP growth, E-Governance will help in reducing corruption and getting things done quickly, there would be more transparency as all the data would be post online. it would be accessible to all citizens of the country. 

According to researcher analysts, the Digital India scheme could boost GDP up to $1 trillion by 2025. It can also play an important role in macro-economic factors such as GDP Growth, employment, labour productivity, growth in number of businesses. Social sectors such as education, banking are unable to reach out to the citizens due to limitations such as middleman, illiteracy, poverty, lack of funds, information and investments. The major changes to the economic system but will also contribute to the environment or ecosystem. The next generation technologies will help in lowering the carbon footprint by reducing fuel consumption, waste management, greener workplace and thus in leads to a greener ecosystem.

CONCLUSION

The vision of Digital India is grand. It is a great step towards building a truly empowered nation. It transforms citizen access to multimedia information, content and service. In fact, we all should be mentally prepared for the change and be ready to face the challenges in implementing the policy, only then it would be possible to make this vision a reality. This campaign is promoted by Government of India to use maximum things in a digital way. The main objective of Digital India campaign is: 

• Reduce paperwork, 

• Connect rural area and every area of India with high-speed internet connectivity. 

This campaign also gives good contribution in Growth of India and people of India.
