Youth is the huge resource in our country’s economy which needs to be tapped intelligently for the development of the society and nation.
Technology is also an important aspect for the development of a nation, along with the youth.
In our economy, the central government has understood and considered these two aspects for the nation development.  For the same, it has introduced “Digital India Movement: power to empower”.  The Digital India programme is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.  For the success of the digital India, government spread the message with two campaigns: one was targeting university students and other at people in rural areas.
After the execution of Digital India Movement, there is a great hike in the population using internet in India and it has crossed over 465 million and our country has been experiencing rapid strides of progress with an evolving payments landscape, universal access to mobile connectivity, online Aadhar card-linking, Public Internet Access Program, online ordering, digital jobs and many more internet innovations.
Our youth is getting more technical savvy and digital now a day’s despite of their literacy.  They are using the online media and mobile applications more frequently as compared with the previous generation. They are also more digitally driven and want to avoid the personal interaction.  They are glued to their mobile (smart) phone which is driving our nation towards digitalization.  Youth is involved on internet and technology in such a way that they have forced the organisations also to launch their digital interface and to take us a step ahead.
With the help of digital movement, youth are also coming up with new ideas for the development of the economic conditions like PAYTM, an initiative for the cashless economy, which will help to reduce the cash holding cost in the economy.  They also enforced the various industries to provide a digital interface to them likewise banking industry, retailing industry and other service industries too.
Into the banking industry, digitalization has helped to avoid human error and thus it builds customer loyalty.  It also gives access to the round the clock banking services due to online banking which is a strong pillar for the economic growth.
Retailing industry, the most growing industry in the economy due to digitalisation as it provide a user interface to the user and it also provides the number of options to choose without any time frame.  Digitalisation has provided a platform to the various online retailers to perform and bring out a movement into the retailing through digital/ online retailing.
Ultimately, as youth is getting more digitalised, it is giving a way to the development of the nation through the development of various industries into the economy.
