Privacy in Social Media is not an individual choice

A couple of individuals may trust that online privacy is a, well, private issue. If you needn't bother with your information getting out on the web, don't put it by means of Social. Simple, right? In any case, keeping your information private isn't just about your own specific choices. It is also depend on your friend’s choice also. A study regarding the social media issues shows that the persons which are using social media may need to stop the concept that privacy of their information is in their own hands. To encourage the process of finding friends, various applications offer to import contact records from some person's phone or email or Face book, to find matches with those people who are already present over the network. Sharing of the contact on the social sites is safe by all the attacks. Professor David Garcia, a computational social scientist in Au...

Technological developments have changed the lives of people drastically, especially with the formation of the social media. Today social media is not only about tweeting about your achievements but includes much more. Social media is getting very popular because of the increasing prominence which it has gained these days. Some years ago when social media got a boom and when many of the social networking sites came into existence which we are using today, at time nobody had even thought that social media will rule our lives one day in such a way. WORKPLACE SPIRITUALITY IN INDIA

Nobody ever thought that Spirituality could get related to management. The two fields which were entirely different from each other today are seeking lot of recognition and it seems as if they are gelling pretty well with each other. One of a new dimension in management studies and research approaches is Workplace Spirituality which is still in evolving stage. It is not about religion or organized religious practices, not about god or theology. Modern authors consider it entirely different from religion.   To define Workplace Spirituality is itself a task, it being too subjective different authors have given different definitions to explain it. Karakas (2010) said that there are more than 2000 definitions of Workplace Spirituality and till now there is no consensus. The most accepted definition is that of Ashmos and Duchon (2003) who said Workplace Spirituality is about recognizing that people have an inner life that nourishes and is nourished by meaningful work in the contex...

Mediation Awareness Drive

Image
Mediation as a method of dispute resolution is not new to India; in fact it is an integral part of Indian culture. It has been in practice from the Mahabharata period to village panchayats resolving issues through mediation. In mediation , two or more people come together to try to work out a resolution to their dispute. A neutral third person, called the mediator, is there to help them along. Therefore, disputes are resolved through mutual settlements rather than approaching the courts. Unfortunately, the biggest challenge mediation faces in India is that people are unaware of it as a dispute resolution process or they misunderstand the manner in which mediation works. Various awareness campaigns and drives have been conducted over the years in order promote mediation. Still the lack of awareness about it is rampant amongst Indians. I n order to create and spread awareness, JIMS Legal Aid Society conducted a mediation drive in Village Tugalpur, Greater Noida on 31st Aug...
