SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME


Objective of the programme:
1.      To train Students about the importance of moot court society and moot court  competition participation in their career and to critically examine and analyse issues and problem provided in moot court competitions.
2.      Students can identify the legal issues of jurisdiction and can assist in resolving legal dispute which will build confidence among the students to deal with any legal issue in court.
3.      To make aware the Students about technical know how about legal ethics of moot court skills.






REPORT
JEMTEC School of Law, organised In-house Moot Court Skill Development Programme for all semester law students including final year students as a mandate provided under GGIPU, (BALLB PROGRAMME) syllabus under PSDA activity. The programme was chaired under abled guidance of Dr. Anurag Sharma and ASHUTOSH KUMAR, which was aimed at preparing and training all students of law for moot court competition organized in various national law universities across the country. The programme was attended by 67 students of Law School Introductory remark was provided by Mr Ashutosh kumar regarding importance of moot court competition in building career of law students. Mr kumar highlighted the importance of drafting memorial, research involved in moot problem and body language and communication rules for mooting skills. Later on Nihit, Mudit Marwah students of BALLB IX semester shared their experiences with BA/BBALLB First semester students about moot court society and how it functions in our law school such that all students can participate and enhance their mooting skill. Later on programme was followed by valuable and experienced insight from Dr. Anurag Sharma about professional legal ethics to be followed while mooting. He suggested students to improve the pronunciation skill and body language along with command over the language. He also emphasized on how to research and prepare the best memorial by asking students some questions. He said about team effort spirit required for moot court competition which requires all round performance by mooter as well as researcher. The programme ended with question and answer session with doubt clearance approach where the questions by students were answered. The programme achieved its objective to prepare and train students for mooting skill and encourage students to participate and organize moot court competitions more and more such that they can develop leadership skill and become goof future lawyers.  







Outcome of the event
  1. Students came to know the importance of moot court society and moot court  competition participation in their career and able to critically examine and analyse issues and problem provided in moot court
  2. Students can identify the legal issues of jurisdiction and can assist in resolving legal dispute which will build confidence among the students to deal with any legal issue in court.
  3. Students came to know how to prepare for moot court memorial and issues. How researcher can contribute as team effort to win moot court competition.
