Self-Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a word which is often
characterized by the use of a beautiful swinging pendulum by a professional
applied on the person to whom he/she wants to control. We usually consider
hypnosis as a negative impactful activity performed in order to do what we
don’t do in general and what we don’t accept in our conscious state of mind. But
hypnosis is different than what we perceive.
Hypnosis is a relaxed state of
mind; actually very relaxed with heightened imagination. It is state where we
immerse ourself completely in the pool of situations around us. During
hypnosis, our conscious mind gets dominated by our subconscious state. Thus,
whatever we do, whatever we speak, it is not coming from our moulded, furnished
and coated conscious mind, rather it is coming from an uncontrolled, uncovered
and deep insight. The most useful form of this hypnosis is Self-hypnosis.
Self-hypnosis is hypnotizing
oneself by our own. It doesn’t need any second person to do the hypnosis for
you. You are your own hypnotizer and guide for you. It is a state where our
mind gets relaxation in our own thoughts, own emotions and own feelings. Here
we don’t need any externally crafted situation around us to feel relaxed, we
just have to lost in our thoughts by leaving rest of the world around us. For
example; sometimes we get so mesmerized by the beauty of the natural happenings
like serene ocean shores, beautiful sunrise and sunset, that we eventually forget
everything and everyone around us. We get immersed completely in these events
that we start going into its deepest point, this is what we call as
self-hypnosis. This self-improving hypnosis has wonderful benefits for every
person.
Self-hypnosis proves to be a best
measure and remedy to change the world as rightly iterated by Mahatma Gandhi, You
must be the change you want to see in the world. Self-hypnosis gives you
the power to look into yourself and to ponder on your own thoughts. When you
realize and know wisely what are you thinking and what are you perceiving, we
develop self-understanding about our words and actions. Being aware about
oneself is the first step to improve and change the world around us. Thus, we
should practice self-hypnosis not just to relax our mind but also to get
