SPORTS AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN

 Women have been able to break free from the Stereotypes of what it means to be women this

Century. Women have broken free from the confines of the home and made their way into a

variety of traditionally male-dominated fields, including sports. She is now compete in sports on

their own

Women have advanced significantly in many area in the past Century.. Today, women are able to

hold jobs, own property, and play professional sports. Women can now participate in sports, a

relic of male dominance, because there is space for them there. However, even today, men and

women are seen differently in sports. This is largely a product of the current cultural ideal of

women.

.Sports activities illustrate a variety of phenomena. It reflects health and fitness first and

foremost. Due to growing public awareness of health issues, it has developed into a leisure

activity that people engage in to maintain their physical and mental fitness. Second, other crucial

social qualities like teamwork, leadership, decision-making, accepting responsibility, etc. are

also embodied in sports. Thirdly, sports are linked to mental fitness and are good at igniting a

person's passion and drive. The path towards success as sports women was not easy, they have to

face many challenges from society. Women can be empowered through education, sports and

physical activity By increasing activity and providing equal opportunities in different areas of

life Sport is not widely recognized as a suitable or desirable occupation for girls and women.

Today In the 21st century, women’s involvement in play and sports has become a major concern.

However, the reality is that women’s participation in games and sport is an illusion. It’s easy to see how

women suffer from various social issues in our everyday lives. Women are often at a disadvantage in

society. Empowerment is a powerful tool for improving women’s skills, resourcefulness, and strategies

for making life decisions. The economic, social, and political position of women traditionally

disadvantaged in society is improving. Sport and physical activity is now recognized as a way to

empower girls and women and is gaining global recognition.

As the number of women participating in sporting events increases, so too does gender bias. But women

compete in sports for more than just physical health. Women compete in sports for social engagement,

speed up the progress of gender equality and break down gender stereotypes. Women who participate in

sports competitions feel empowered and develop leadership skills. Women today are learning to live for

themselves, and the shift in society is very encouraging for women to choose careers in sports. Women’s

sports achievements and distinctions set a good example for young girls to follow and encourage them to

play sports and work towards gender equality.

Social prejudices often prevent women from considering themselves physically strong and

capable


and autonomous individuals. Sports have become a tool or instrument over last few years. These

self limiting views are being fought by women.. As women's participation increases, in physical

activities, sport is seen as a mechanism for women's empowerment at worldwide, state &national levels. ,

sport is seen as a means of empowering women. Participating in physical exercises and activities

allows you to live with dignity.


Conclusion

We are proud of you every day. This is a proof that Indian games and sports have come a long way as a

way to open doors for women and empowers them. Various mass entertainment programs and sporting

events can be classified under the adult age group with the help of large-scale and targeted advertising.

These initiatives will improve the well-being and standard of living of women in both urban and rural

areas.
