The Crux of Life

“What is Life”, a small girl sitting next to me asked with a perplexed expression on her face. I ignored the question first being occupied with some college work. She asked the same question again. This time the voice was stronger, more curious and so I was forced to answer it. “Life is a gift of the almighty and so must be cherished in all aspects”, I explained. This question inspired me to explore further and further and I came across several aspects of it. Life can be as fragile as a glass or as hard as climbing a mountain, can be a cakewalk for some and can be a rocky terrain for others, can be full of happy moments, can be really saddening. The purpose of life is subjective and is defined basis several factors. Once a successful person would have defined it as a beautiful kaleidoscope of colourful moments and joyful memories and the same person would have defined it as a black foggy and unclear path. Today, when the whole world is dealing with a deadly pandemic and people have lost to it surrendering everything they have, the definition of life takes a full circle. The riches and the wealth cannot be used for any meaningful purposes anymore. It is indeed a ruthless turn that has shown man the harshest of realities that he was unaware of or was ignorant of. Life, therefore, is unpredictable, turbulent and unfriendly for some and just a way to live as destined for others. The crux is though not well defined but takes us to a direction where one can easily accept life as a blend of both sorrow and joy. People must learn the art of living it in a balanced way. In many cases, those who have nothing have satisfaction of having everything and some others remain unhappy with life despite everything. It is one’s own way of looking at it and dealing with it. The best approach may be to stop being bothered about what has happened already and what will happen later in life. It is all about living and loving the present for this shall also be gone and will become history and will be written in books forgotten to be read probably. The present poses an opportunity to be happy, sad, strong, weak or a mix of all these. And it also teaches you to be better through experience and new learnings. Life must be taken as a play and as a game to strategize to make it better and worth living. The best medicine of wounds of life is time and the belief ‘This shall also pass’. Hence, the final recommendation is to live a life as if you will never get the moment again and in future you don’t regret that you got busy capturing the beauty of a moment in camera for future and did not live it to the fullest! Happy Life Mantras: A quicklist:  Love the present!  Respect what you have!  No haste, no waste!  Be thankful!  Play, Hang out and go on trips!  Make friends, spend time with them!  Love yourself!  Believe in the power of the supreme!
