Movement For Fitness

Dr. Devi Shetty
A study was done at Howard Business University in which it was said that Americans who were treated by Indian doctors lived longer than those patients who were treated by American doctors. Indian doctors are the best in the whole world because they have more compassion as well as compassion.
Not only MBBS or MD doctors, trained nurses and medical personnel can also do the job of writing and treating basic medicines to provide affordable health services to all in the country. This is to say that Dr. Devi Shetty, the chairperson of the multi-specialty hospital chain Narayana Health and the country's top neonatal cardiologist. Priyanka Singh spoke in detail to Dr. Shetty, who advocated changes in health services to provide treatment to all. Here are excerpts from the conversation:
• Nowadays, the fit India movement is being talked about. What is most important to keep the country fit - people's will, government efforts or money?
The most important is willpower. Someone's desire to keep themselves fit helps to keep them fit, otherwise no policy or reward works. The good news is that controlling diet alone can remove 80 percent of diseases. If you go to a good doctor, then he will say that you have to make changes in lifestyle, exercise, diet control and your disease will be gone in about three months. The other option is that you have to take medicine. You won't believe it; most people like to eat medicine because they don't want to work hard.
Can you get used to keeping fit?
For this we have to run a fitness movement as if smoking became a style in the 60s. Now fitness should be styled. Those who are fit will have to be respected. A movement will have to be organized for this across the country.
• Meanwhile, people's trust in doctors has decreased. What is the reason?
It is not because doctors are doing wrong with people. The reason for this is the lack of doctors. If a doctor can see 15-20 patients a day, then he has to see 50 patients. There is a problem in this pressure, people beat and beat the doctor. For a country of 1.2 billion people, the number of doctors will have to increase or else Ayushman or any scheme will not succeed.
How to deal with the shortage of doctors?
The biggest problem is that in our country no one other than MBBS doctor can prescribe basic medicine. Countries such as the US, England and Australia have trend nurses for
primary health care. MBBS doctors are only for specialized diseases. By the way, any trend nurse can prescribe 47 basic medicines. This will reduce the pressure on specialized doctors.
• Why schemes like Karnataka to provide cheaper treatment to all cannot be implemented in the entire country?
We want to treat people for free, but this is not the case in the North. This is not the government's problem. In our country, 70 percent of the hospitals are in South and West India. People do not wait for the government there. They themselves go ahead and prepare the infrastructure. The government has also run so many schemes there that people get covered in some scheme.
• PM recently expressed concern over heart disease among the youth. How to deal with it?
Everyone should undergo a cardiac CT scan after 35 years. If that scan is fine, then one can assume that the next 10-15 years will not be a heart attack. By the way, we Indians need more protection of our heart because we have 3 times more fear of heart disease. A sudden heart attack can be avoided to a great extent by performing a CT scan.
• What to do in the routine so that the heart is fit?
We have to take care of 5 things:
1. Diet,
2. Exercise,
3. Distance from tobacco,
4. Preventive checkup,
5. Spiritual thinking.
• If Dr. Shetty is made the Health Minister of the country then what will be the first thing:-
Will reform the medical nursing and para medical fields. By training around 50 lakh doctors and para medical staff, we can add 1 trillion rupees every year to the economy of the country. In the next 15-20 years, we will need 8.2 crore specialists in the medical field. The value of skills is everywhere in America, Australia, Europe. We are fit to fill those places. A study was done at Howard Business University in which it was said that Americans who were treated by Indian doctors lived longer than those patients who were treated by American doctors. Indian doctors are the best in the whole world because they have more compassion as well as compassion.
