Blueprint a better way of design

I experienced the benefits of the blueprint long ago when I was in my teenage. I sometime use to accompany my father and even extended a helping hand in his routine work. I sometime use to ask, father, why do you spend so much of the time in preparing these drawings. He would then explain to me the reason, to which I use to confirm by nod of my neck. But internally would not agree to that.
As I grew, I chose to opt for a drawing course in my school and started learning the benefits of preparing the sheet before something could be drawn on it. I have also seen the downside of not following a proper methodology in building a house by a contractor when the whole building simply collapsed.
Blueprint gives us a complete detail of insight of the final design. Engineers are fully dependent on these blueprint for designing even the prototyping of the real design. Lot of design tools are coming to help the engineers in the process of manufacturing drawing.   One such tool, that was a part of the fiction few year back has taken the manufacturing to a new level. This is with the invention of 3-D printing. This has created lot of scope not only in the manufacturing of prototype to creating new avenue for job seekers as well. Blueprints can now be easily converted to model which may be simulated to observe any flaws that may occur while developing a full fledged design. It proves to be economical and time saving mechanism in the whole process of design cycle.
