PRIVACY & HUMAN RIGHTS

Human beings had been struggling to attain eternal peace and create a heaven on earth, where every human being can enjoy his freedom without any interference from any corners whereby he can gain the material, spiritual and intellectual fulfillment. It is very difficult to give precise meaning of privacy because it varies from society to society but its importance and need in any society cannot be ignored. It is necessary and essential to preserve and protect the dignity of the individual. Under the common law systems, the whole evolution of law of torts incorporates nothing but this right to privacy. Assault and battery, defamation talk about the privacy of person; trespass, conversion and nuisance talk about the privacy of property or home that is to say that nothing can be done without the consent of the person which is unreasonable against the person or property of an individual. The law of contract which centres  around  the ‘consent’ as the essential ingredients is not...

Virtual Reality a future ahead

Believe it or not, the Treta and Dwapar Yugs, the time of the Ramayana and Mahabharta mention about the technological development like use of airplane, Sanjay narrating the Warfield activity to the King Dhritrashtra, sudden appearance of Deva’s etc. Today’s science era believes in experimenting and proving things instead of believing on stories. Virtual reality is one such development in the current Yuga (period). The technical definition of the virtual reality is to immerse a user within a computer generated, virtual environment that should be visually identical to the real one. Virtual reality can be understood as a medium composed of interactive computer simulations that sense the participant's position and actions and replace or augment the feedback to one or more senses, giving the feeling of being mentally immersed or present in the simulation. Indeed, in virtual environments, participants are immersed and surrounded by information, which is to scale and, which is t...

Cloud Manufacturing System

Cloud fabricating (CMfg) is another assembling worldview created from existing propelled producing models (e.g., ASP, AM, NM, MGrid) and undertaking data advances under the support of distributed computing, internet of things (IoT), virtualization and administration arranged innovations, and propelled processing advances. It changes producing assets and assembling capacities into assembling administrations, which can be overseen and worked in a wise and bound together approach to empower the full sharing and coursing of assembling assets and assembling abilities. CMfg can give protected, high caliber, modest and on-request producing administrations for the entire lifecycle of assembling. The idea of assembling here alludes to huge assembling that incorporates the entire lifecycle of an item (e.g. outline, reproduction, production, test, maintenance). The idea of Cloud assembling was at first proposed by the exploration amass drove by Prof. Bo Hu Li and Prof. Lin Zhang in China in 200...

Raspberry Pi- An Educational Tool

Raspberry Pi- An Educational Tool Raspberry Pi is a single-board credit-card-sized computer. It was developed by Raspberry Pi Foundation in UK. The objective behind its development was the introduction of basic computer science in schools. It is so simple to program as well as cheap to tamper during experiments. The idea of Raspberry Pi was proposed in 2006 by Eben Upton and a group of teachers, academics and computer enthusiasts at Cambridge University. The initial slot was manufactured in Chine and Tiwan. It was released on 29 th February 2012. About half million units were sold within six months of its release. Raspberry Pi has two models named as Model B and Model A. Model B came initially and then Model A came in the starting of the year 2013. The device has 5 volt USB. A 1200 mA power supply is more than sufficient to run it. 1 Amp is the maximum power that Raspberry can use. An external powered USB hub is required to connect USB device above 1 Amp. Basically, Model ...

SCADA APPLICATIONS IN POWER SYSTEM

Image
Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is an industrial control system which is used in many modern industries like energy, manufacturing, power, water transportation, etc. SCADA systems organize multiple technologies that allows to process, gather and monitor data SCADA systems range from simple to large configurations. Most of the SCADA applications use human machine interface (HMI) software that permits users to interact with machines to control the devices. HMI is connected to the motors, valves and many more devices. SCADA software receives the information from programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or remote terminal units (RTUs), which in turn receive their information from the sensors or inputted values which we have given manually. SCADA in a power system is used to collect, analyze and monitor the data effectively, which will reduce the waste potentially and improve the efficiency of the entire system by saving money and time. What is SCADA? ...
